The Ateneo de Naga University-Supreme Student Government Commission on Elections (AdNU-SSG COMELEC) appointed its new moderator and commission members in preparation for the upcoming SSG Elections for the School Year 2024-2025.
In consecutive Memorandums 2023-2024-004 and 2023-2024-005 released by the commission on 31 January 2024, Dr. Marshal Q. Murillo tendered his resignation, followed by an announcement on the appointment of Champagne Carpio as the new COMELEC Moderator.
Murillo, who was appointed as the moderator on 4 May 2023, thanked the commission for the opportunity to have served the AdNU community in his capacity as a former moderator.
Meanwhile, Carpio, the commission's former chairperson for the School Year 2022-2023, ensured her commitment to her responsibilities in the election process and its conduct in line with the rules and regulations.
Furthermore, the COMELEC chairperson, Duzeah Yrl C. Plasencia, released Memorandum 2023-2024-03 dated 25 January 2023, appointing Christine Hazel P. Olazo as the new Vice-Chairperson, Ma. Jocelyn Valenzuela as the new Secretary, and Mikka Ella Fernandez as the new Informations and Promotions Commissioner of the commission.
The appointment came after Former Vice-Chairperson Rose Anne Tabilog's absence due to health-related concerns.
The AdNU-SSG COMELEC is an independent commission who governs the conduct of the Supreme Student Government Elections, along with its related activities.
