The Ampatuan Massacre which claimed the lives of 58 victims—32 of them journalists—is considered to be the deadliest single event in history for the press. Yet, even after a decade and a half, justice for one of the victims, Reynaldo Momay, can be said to be still buried on the same grounds the bodies of the victims were found, as his name was not included in the court’s ruling due to alleged lack of evidence of his actual death.
